Newly appointed Maldivian Ambassador to UAE presents credentials
The newly appointed Maldivian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Thoriq Ibrahim, met with the Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss strengthening bilateral ties. During the meeting, the Ambassador commended the UAE leadership’s progress and expressed his commitment to expanding cooperation in key sectors, including environmental protection, tourism, and renewable energy.

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Maldives to the United Arab Emirates, Thoriq Ibrahim, has presented his credentials to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi.
During the meeting, Alshamsi extended his best wishes to Ambassador Thoriq for a successful tenure in his new role. Furthermore, Alshamsi reaffirmed the UAE's steadfast commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with the Maldives across various sectors, ensuring the mutual interests of the people of both nations.
During the meeting, Ambassador Thoriq Ibrahim commended the UAE's significant regional and international advancements under the visionary leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Ambassador further expressed his commitment to expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Highlighting the robust ties between the Maldives and the UAE, he noted the growing collaboration in climate action, environmental sustainability, tourism, and renewable energy.
