Newly appointed Ambassador of Kosovo presents credentials to the President
Following the official presentation of credentials by the new Ambassador of Kosovo, the President expressed his gratitude for the scholarship opportunities provided to Maldivian students. During the meeting, the two leaders engaged in extensive discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors, including education, tourism, trade, and youth development.

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Republic of Maldives, Lulzim Pllana, presented his credentials to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday. The ceremony took place on Wednesday morning at the President's Office.
The Ambassador arrived at the ceremony in a formal procession, escorted by the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) with full ceremonial honors. The arrival was marked by traditional royal umbrellas and a military band performing to the beat of drums and trumpets.
Upon the presentation of credentials by the new Ambassador of Kosovo, the President extended his congratulations and welcomed the Ambassador to the Maldives.
Following the credentials ceremony, the President met with the new Ambassador and expressed his gratitude to the Government of Kosovo for the scholarship opportunities provided to Maldivian students. The President and the Ambassador further discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, youth development, tourism, and trade, as well as other areas of mutual interest. Furthermore, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to transforming the ongoing cooperation between the two nations into sustainable and tangible results.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Kosovo were officially established on April 15, 2009.
