Missing person found near HDh. Hondaafushi
A man who went missing from the fishing vessel "Bahuru" while gathering bait near Hondaafushi has been found washed ashore on the island and is currently receiving treatment at the Hanimaadhoo Health Centre. Following a joint search effort by the MNDF and local residents, health officials have confirmed that his condition is now stable.

A man reported missing from the fishing vessel "Bahuru" while it was bait fishing south of HDh. Hondaafushi has been found on the island's shore following a search operation by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
The MNDF stated that the individual's disappearance was reported to the Coast Guard at approximately 04:05 AM on Monday. Following the report, the MNDF Northern Area Command’s Coast Guard First Squadron launched a search and rescue operation to locate the missing person.
The MNDF stated that the missing individual was located around 05:55 AM on Monday. The body was discovered washed ashore on Hondaafushi island by a dinghy assisting in the search operations.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) stated that he was transported to the Hanimaadhoo Health Centre at approximately 05:59 AM for urgent medical treatment. According to the health centre, his condition is now stable.
The MNDF noted that the search operation received full cooperation from civilian vessels in the area, alongside the MNDF Coast Guard First Squadron fleet.
