Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that documents related to party agreements must be signed by a trustworthy individual, noting that Mikail Ahmed Naseem is that person.
He made these remarks while addressing a gathering of the campaign team on Saturday night.
Responding to criticisms regarding his decision to govern alongside a coalition after assuming office in 2018, former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih stated that the administration was formed under a signed coalition agreement to which he was a personal signatory.
President Solih stated that his administration was conducted in accordance with the agreements signed at the time. He noted that he made every effort to implement the provisions outlined in the coalition agreement.
Speaking on the matter, President Solih further stated that the responsibility of signing official party documents must be entrusted to a reliable individual, and that person is Meekail. The President noted that Meekail is contesting with a comprehensive manifesto, which includes several key initiatives essential for the effective administration of the party.
He stated that one of the reasons for his support is that Meekail’s manifesto includes essential elements for the effective management of the party. President Solih urged the public to give this matter serious consideration.
President Solih made these remarks in response to criticisms directed at him regarding the administration of a coalition government. President Solih assumed office in 2018 leading a multi-party coalition.
