Solih arrives in Addu City, third destination of the "Ithubaaru" campaign tour
Former President Mohamed Nasheed is set to compete against Meekail in the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) chairperson election scheduled for June 12, 2026.

Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has arrived in Addu City, the third destination of the ongoing "Ithubaaru" campaign tour.
This visit is part of the "City Tour" organized by the "Ithubaaru" campaign team to garner support for Meekail Ahmed Naseem, the Member of Parliament for South Galolhu, who is contesting the MDP Chairperson election.
The former president, accompanied by his campaign team, arrived in Addu City on Sunday. Later that afternoon, he traveled to the islands of Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo. Upon his arrival in Addu City, Solih was greeted with a warm welcome by the local community.
In addition to Meekail, former President Mohamed Nasheed will be contesting the MDP chairperson election scheduled for June 12, 2026.
