Covid-19 monitoring measures have been lifted from Lhaimagu in Shaviyani atoll and Kulhudhuffushi island in Haa Alif atoll.
This was revealed at the Covid-19 press conference held on Wednesday night.
While monitoring measures on these two islands have been lifted, there are currently 21 islands on monitoring, as well as 249 buildings, 28 businesses (shops, go downs and clinics) and three vessels.
The islands currently under monitoring are;
- Malé City
- Thulusdhoo, Kaafu
- Kuda Villingilli, Kaafu
- Thulhagiri Island Resort, Kaafu
- Uligan, Haa Alif
- Narudhoo, Shaviyani
- Holhudhoo, Shaviyani
- Funadhoo, Shaviyani
- Milandhoo, Shaviyani
- Feevah, Shaviyani
- Maaungooodhoo, Shaviyani
- Maafaru, Noonu
- Miladhoo, Noonu
- Kedhikulhudhoo, Noonu
- Henbadhoo, Noonu
- Utheemu, Haa Alif
- Dhidhdhoo, Haa Alif
- Goidhoo, Shaviyani
- Hirimaradhoo, Shaviyani
- Kendhoo, Baa
- Kumundhoo, Haa Dhaal
Most of these islands are in the north. A captain of a boat that took 98 passengers to 13 islands in the area on April 15, from the capital, has tested positive for Covid-19.
