State has raised charges against six other individuals

Two more suspects have been charged in connection to the murder of Mohamed Anas, 25.

While charges have been raised against Mohamed Shaaz and Afrah Abdulrazzaaq, a hearing in the case is scheduled for 2pm on Tuesday (today).

While Afrah is charged with murder in connection to stabbing, Shaaz is charged with accessory to murder.

Back in September, police launched a manhunt for Afrah and Shaaz. They were apprehended in September, while in hiding.

Anas was stabbed to death by a group of masked assailants on July 31. CCTV footage shows him running into Litus Service Center in an attempt to fell his attackers; the brutal attack took place inside the garage.

The state has raised charges against six individuals, including a minor. While the police did not reveal details on the 17-year-old, he is charged with first-degree murder and the case is at the Juvenile Court. The others are: Ahmed Zayan, Usman Shareef, Junaih Abdulla, Hassan Mahfooz and Simah Moosa; Zayan and Shareef are charged with first-degree murder while the rest are charged as accessory.
