Maldives Police Service (MPS) reports that no arrests have been made in connection to the woman raped near Hulhumale’ Industrial area.
Police reported that the case was under investigation but no arrests had been made.
The case was first reported to MPS around 2240 hrs Thursday night. No other details on the case, apart from the information that the woman is over 18 years, had been made public.
Raajje.mv understands that the woman is 27 years old and was raped in the Industrial area. The clothes she was wearing was torn up and discarded in the area after the incident.
Police had not revealed whether she was raped by an individual or a group.
