IGMH flu clinic: two deaths have been attributed to H1N1
Two individuals have died reportedly from H1N1 outbreak.
Raajje.mv understands that one of the deceased was a 53-year-old woman from Eydhafushi in Baa Atoll.
It was reported to Raajje.mv that the woman was seeking treatment, as she had symptoms of infection.
She also suffered from respiratory complications.
The flu is spreading rapidly in the island.
Another individual had died while seeking treatment in IGMH, from the infection as well. Reportedly the deceased had been seeking treatment at the hospital for kidney issues. Raajje.mv understands that the individual had been sick for some time.
No Government agency had confirmed that the two had contracted H1N1.
Latest statistics by HPA shows that 82 had contracted H1N1.
