Public concern grows over challenges in stone dust disposal

The Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) is facing significant challenges in disposing of construction debris, leading to growing public concern.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, several sources reported facing extreme difficulties in disposing of construction waste, noting that it often remains uncollected for over a week. They further stated that despite contacting WAMCO daily at 8:30 a.m., they have been unable to resolve the issue or arrange for the waste to be cleared.
When contacted by RaajjeTV’s "Fashaairu" program for clarification, WAMCO confirmed that they continue to provide disposal services for construction waste and debris. However, the company noted that due to current vehicle capacity constraints, the service is being provided on a limited basis each day.
WAMCO stated that although the service is being provided on a daily basis with certain restrictions, they are unable to disclose the specific daily limit for the disposal of stone dust.
Furthermore, when questioned regarding reports that users were unable to select specific vehicles through the WAMCO application, the corporation maintained that the feature remains available. However, after it was pointed out that the option was non-functional, WAMCO clarified that the service window resets daily at midnight. The company further explained that the inability to select a vehicle occurs only when the service capacity for that particular day has been reached.
Members of the public are expressing growing concern over significant difficulties in accessing several services provided by the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO).
