Speaking at a People’s National Congress (PNC) rally on Tuesday night, Abdul Raheem Abdulla stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu assumed office at a time when the nation's economy was on the brink of collapse. He remarked that, to borrow an expression from former President Nasheed, the current administration inherited nothing but "debt receipts." Despite inheriting these financial burdens, Abdul Raheem highlighted that the government has remained resilient. He noted that the administration continues to honor debt obligations while ensuring that essential public services remain uninterrupted and development projects proceed without delay.
