Mauroof Zakir, the Member of Parliament for the Kendhoo constituency, has stated that one of the most important actions to take today is to display a portrait of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at every island's harbor, labeled with the word "liar" in a clearly visible manner.
Speaking on a RaajjeTV talk show, Mauroof stated that the public now universally recognizes President Muizzu as a leader who lacks integrity. He further noted that the citizens are well aware that the President consistently fails to deliver on his promises, while simultaneously engaging in the very actions he pledged to avoid.
Mauroof noted that in many islands across the Maldives, prayer and remembrance boards, as well as boards featuring moral advice, are commonly seen installed by local councils, civil society organizations, and schools. He further stated that photos of President Muizzu should be displayed across the islands, labeled with the word "liar" in a similar fashion.
I believe what we should actually do now is display President Muizzu’s photos across the islands, labeled with the word "liar," alongside relevant verses from the Holy Quran. That seems to be the necessary course of action. I do not believe there is a single citizen in the Maldives who still views President Muizzu as a truthful person. This applies to a vast number of issues.Mauroof Zakir
Mauroof highlighted that despite President Muizzu’s numerous pledges during his visits to various islands, none of these commitments have been fulfilled. He repeatedly asserted that with all development projects currently at a standstill, it has become clear to the public that President Muizzu is untruthful.
They are visiting the islands once again, making promises and setting specific deadlines for project completions. There are numerous islands where they pledged that students would begin the next academic year in newly built schools. They are blatantly lying to the public. The people now recognize that someone who lies to this extent is a deceiver and a fabricator. To highlight this, we must display large billboards at every island's harbor featuring President Muizzu’s photograph alongside relevant Quranic verses regarding falsehood.Mauroof Zakir
Public concern is mounting across the Maldives as numerous development projects have come to a standstill. Citizens are increasingly vocal in their grievances, alleging that the current administration has failed to advance any key initiatives while offering various excuses for the continued delays.
