Speaking at the opening ceremony of the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) congress, President Muizzu urged all members to prioritize national interests and uphold the party's welfare. The President expressed his confidence that all party delegates would work together in a unified spirit, as one family and a cohesive team.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Muizzu emphasized that "Pro-Nation" must always remain the party's core slogan. He further noted that PNC members must set a leading example in prioritizing the party's interests for the sake of the nation's future and in fulfilling their responsibilities to the fullest extent.
The President expressed full confidence that the PNC will lead by example in the efforts required to transform the current political landscape of the Maldives. He further emphasized that the party's activities must be shaped in a manner that best serves the national interest.
Speaking on the progress of the People's National Congress (PNC), President Muizzu announced that the party's membership has now reached approximately 80,000. The President noted that this milestone is a direct result of the diligent efforts of all members and supporters to strengthen the party.
However, numerous allegations have surfaced in recent days regarding government employees being coerced into participating in various party recruitment activities.
