The non-resident Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Adel Ibrahim, has paid a farewell call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The meeting took place on Thursday morning at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, the President highlighted the Ambassador's efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations during his tenure. Expressing appreciation for the long-standing friendship between the two countries, the President extended his gratitude to the Egyptian government, specifically noting the higher education scholarships provided to Maldivian students and the valuable contributions of Egyptian healthcare professionals working in the Maldives.
Expressing his commitment to working closely with Egypt, he conveyed his confidence that the two nations will continue their collaborative efforts across the sectors of culture, tourism, education, as well as security and defense.
The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening the long-standing ties of friendship between the Maldives and Egypt.
