Body recovered from Eydhafushi lagoon

The body of an 82-year-old man, identified as Ali Abdullah of Seesange, was discovered floating in the harbor area of B. Eydhafushi this morning. The Maldives Police Service confirmed they are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death after the incident was reported to them early today.

An 82-year-old man was found dead in the waters near the harbor of B. Eydhafushi earlier this morning.

According to the police, the incident was reported on Tuesday morning at approximately 7:55 a.m. Police identified the deceased found in the sea as 82-year-old Ali Abdullah, from Seesange in Baa Atoll Eydhafushi.

The police have not disclosed any further details regarding this incident.

However, police have confirmed that an investigation into the death is currently underway.
