85 percent of eligible voters turned out for PNC constituency elections: Abdul Raheem
PNC Chairperson Abdul Raheem Abdulla stated that the participation of approximately 33,000 members in the party's internal constituency elections demonstrates clear public confidence in President Dr. Muizzu. While he characterized the election—which saw 2,300 candidates vying for various leadership positions—as a significant step forward for the party's administrative structure, observers note that recent electoral trends in the Maldives continue to raise questions regarding the actual extent of the government's popular support.
