I have never seen a leader in the history of Maldivian democracy lose support this quickly: Thazmeel
Thazmeel stated that no administration in the history of Maldivian democracy has lost public confidence as rapidly as the current government. Highlighting that the administration continues to make hollow promises without any prior research, he noted an increasing frequency in the change of spokespersons as an attempt to mask government failures. Criticizing the current governance system, Thazmeel further asserted that the administration's initiatives have ultimately failed.

Former Managing Director of MTDC, Thazmeel Abdul Samad, has stated that the Maldives' democratic history has never seen a leader lose public support so significantly this early into their term.
He made these remarks while appearing as a guest on RaajjeTV’s "Fala Surukhee" program.
Thazmeel stated that history has never seen a president lose their sense of integrity and public trust so significantly this early into a presidential term. He further noted that the current administration is characterized by an unprecedented pattern of dishonesty towards the public, highlighting that massive pledges are being made to citizens without any prior research or feasibility studies.
Criticizing the government's administrative framework, Thazmeel stated that this administration has replaced spokespersons at an unprecedented rate in an attempt to mask its failures and polish its public image. He further suggested that these frequent changes occur because it becomes increasingly difficult for the same individuals to continuously repeat the same falsehoods.
Furthermore, Thazmeel stated that this administration’s term will conclude with senior officials constantly being shuffled between various positions. He added that if a performance report were to be issued based on the current government's actions today, it would receive a "U" grade or be marked as a total failure.
In his remarks, Thazmeel expressed deep concern over the current situation, noting a significant disconnect between the government's pledges to the citizens and its actual implementation on the ground.
