Former Deputy Minister Mohamed Ihusan has accused the current administration of encouraging corruption and providing protection to those involved in such illicit activities. Ihusan stated that while individuals facing serious allegations of corruption are seen in the top ranks of the government, the administration continues to offer empty rhetoric instead of investigating these cases and taking necessary action.

Former Deputy Minister Mohamed Ihusan has stated that despite a government ministry being completely destroyed by fire, there is no one speaking out about the incident today.
Speaking on RaajjeTV’s "Fala Surukhee" program, Ihusan stated that despite a government ministry being completely destroyed by fire, there has been no evidence of the administration taking adequate action. He further noted that there is currently no one within the government addressing such major incidents.
Criticizing senior government officials, Ihusan stated that the current administration's leadership exhibits no shame when engaging in acts of corruption. He further noted that corruption has now become an act carried out openly, as if it were a point of pride.
Ihusan alleged that the current administration encourages corruption. He stated that if this were not the case, special investigations would be conducted to look into corruption allegations; however, he noted that no such actions are being witnessed today.
Ihusan stated that the current administration is encouraging acts of corruption. He further alleged that instead of investigating major corruption cases, the government is providing protection to those involved in such illicit activities.
Referring to individuals accused of significant involvement in the illicit sale of HDC lands, Ihusan stated that those facing such allegations are now seen at the forefront of the ruling party's political activities. He noted that this demonstrates the extent to which those who facilitate corruption are afforded space within the government.
Furthermore, Ihusan stated that the government consistently offers empty rhetoric, with no visible progress in translating their words into action. He noted that even within the People’s Majlis, there is not a single member from the ruling party who possesses the courage to advocate for taking necessary action against corruption.
The government is offering nothing but empty rhetoric, with no tangible action to back up its claims. Concluding his remarks, Ihusan stated that the voices of members speaking out against corruption within the administration have been silenced today. He further criticized the current government, asserting that the present leadership lacks any semblance of a functioning administration.
