Former Minister Dr. Ibrahim Didi has stated that the situation within President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration is deteriorating by the day, noting that those closest to the President are increasingly distancing themselves from him one by one.
Speaking on RaajjeTV’s "Fala Surukhee" program, Dr. Didi stated that the current administration is making an overwhelming number of mistakes. He noted that former Finance Minister Moosa Zameer and other key officials no longer wish to remain in the government due to these escalating failures. He further remarked that, at present, individuals are unwilling to serve in government positions even if they are offered.
He highlighted President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s failure to fulfill his pledges to the citizens, specifically pointing to the unkept promises made to the fishing community as a primary example. Describing the current administration as directionless, he characterized the government as being in a state of total confusion.
Criticizing government policies, Didi stated that the government’s recent admission regarding unqualified individuals holding positions is a self-incrimination, following the recruitment of thousands of people ahead of every election. He noted that this serves as clear evidence that individuals were improperly appointed to jobs for political gain.
"Aasandha coverage is unavailable, and the dollar rate has not decreased. There are countless issues like these. Even the trade conducted through Temu has come to a standstill. This is the current state of affairs," Didi said.
Furthermore, Didi stated that the government has gone as far as to obstruct small businesses operated by ordinary citizens on online platforms. He noted that the public is currently facing extreme hardships across all sectors.
Concluding his remarks, Didi stated that the current administration is operating without any clear principles or foundations. He further alleged that the government’s actions have led to a loss of public trust and are causing internal instability within the administration.
