A crocodile discovered on an uninhabited island in Lhaviyani Atoll has been handed over to MNDF
A group of people visiting the uninhabited island of Lh. Dhidhoo captured a five-foot crocodile and handed it over to the MNDF Northern Area Command. While crocodile sightings in Maldivian waters are relatively common during the Northeast Monsoon, such animals are typically relocated and released into the open sea far beyond the country’s maritime boundaries.
