Fire breaks out at former accommodation block in Hulhumale' Phase 3, causing significant damage

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) announced on Saturday that firefighters from the MNDF Male Area Command’s Hulhumale' Fire Station have successfully extinguished a fire that broke out at a former accommodation block in Hulhumale' Phase 3.
The MNDF Male' Area Command, Hulhumale’ Fire Station, received reports of the incident at approximately 17:12 on Saturday evening. Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze by 17:38.
Various parts of the accommodation block sustained damage in the incident.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) stated that there have been no reports of any injuries to individuals.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the sudden fire that broke out in the uninhabited area.
