Oil Tanker Fire in Feeali: Massive Damage Reported as Ice Plant Completely Destroyed!
A massive fire that broke out on a fuel boat docked at the Feeali harbor has completely destroyed the island's ice plant and three fishing vessels. The blaze also caused extensive damage to an additional vessel and a fuel shed, while a foreign national is currently receiving treatment for burn injuries. According to MNDF, firefighters managed to fully extinguish the fire by approximately 10:35 a.m. on Thursday.

The ice plant in F. Feeali has been completely destroyed by a fire that broke out on a fuel tanker docked at the island's harbor.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) received the report of this incident at approximately 09:30 AM on Thursday.
An eyewitness at the scene told RaajjeMV that the fire on the oil barge spread rapidly, resulting in extensive damage.
He stated that the island's MIFCO ice plant was completely destroyed in the incident. Furthermore, two grouper fishing vessels and a sand-transporting boat were burned beyond repair, while a newly launched fiber vessel sustained significant damage from the fire.
Furthermore, the fire spread to a nearby fuel station, causing damage to the fuel dispensers and several sections of the structure.
The MNDF stated that firefighters from the MNDF Central Area Command’s Kudahuvadhoo Fire Station were deployed to the scene and worked to extinguish the fire.
According to the MNDF, firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze at approximately 10:35 a.m. on Thursday.
A Bangladeshi national working on the oil barge sustained severe burns in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at the health center.
