11 individuals arrested, over 200,000 Rufiyaa seized in a series of special police operations
Police have arrested 11 individuals and recovered over MVR 231,000 linked to theft and various other crimes during special operations conducted over the past 48 hours. In addition to these arrests, Galolhu Police Station successfully recovered a significant amount of cash following investigations into multiple cases reported to various stations across Male'.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Shifan has announced that 11 individuals were arrested during special police operations, which also led to the recovery of over 200,000 Rufiyaa linked to theft and various other crimes.
On Wednesday night, Shifan announced that police had arrested 11 individuals during special operations conducted over the past 48 hours. He further noted that authorities recovered 231,000 MVR linked to thefts and various other crimes.
Shifan stated that the continuous patrols conducted by the police to maintain peace and security in the Male' area, along with collaborative efforts with the public, are the most crucial measures being taken to prevent such crimes.
Shifan made these remarks at a time when there has been a recent surge in reported scam cases.
Regarding the operations conducted on the 9th and 10th of this month, police reported that Henveiru Police Station received 21 cases and 17 calls during this period. Police further stated that two individuals were arrested, and out of the 24,400 Rufiyaa reported stolen or lost in various cases, 4,000 Rufiyaa has been recovered.
Police reported that Galolhu Police Station received 33 cases and responded to 21 calls during this period. Furthermore, authorities confirmed that five individuals were arrested, and MVR 224,600 linked to two separate incidents was recovered.
Furthermore, police reported that the Maafannu Police Station received 37 cases and 26 calls during this period. Authorities also confirmed that four individuals were arrested, and out of the 62,400 Rufiyaa reported stolen or lost in various incidents, 2,400 Rufiyaa has been recovered.
