Assault at Hulhumale’ Central Park: Two Bangladeshi nationals arrested, two others at large
Two Bangladeshi nationals have been remanded in custody for seven days following their arrest in connection with a violent altercation among expatriates at Hulhumalé Central Park. During the court proceedings, police revealed that several other individuals are believed to have been involved in the incident and that some suspects fled the scene before they could be apprehended.

Two Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested in connection with an assault at Hulhumale' Central Park.
The individuals arrested on suspicion of involvement in a physical altercation at Hulhumale' Central Park have been identified as Nayan Mia, 36, and Mohamad Mosharof, 35, both Bangladeshi nationals.
On Friday, the court ordered the two individuals to be remanded in a custodial prison for a period of seven days.
The Criminal Court order stated that sufficient evidence has been presented to link the two suspects to the alleged crime, supported by an official incident report. According to the report, the two individuals are believed to have been involved in an altercation among expatriates at Hulhumalé Central Park, with indications that others were also involved. Furthermore, police informed the court that two other individuals involved in the violence have fled the scene.
Furthermore, the order mandates that arrangements be made to contact the sponsors of the two individuals and to obtain a statement from them.
The police are conducting a further investigation into the matter.
