Foakaidhoo recognizes and honors former President Solih’s contributions to the island’s development
The residents of Sh. Foakaidhoo have presented a commemorative plaque to former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in recognition of the significant developmental projects completed during his administration, including the island's harbor, water and sewerage systems, and advancements in the education and healthcare sectors. During his visit at the invitation of the Foakaidhoo Council, the former President also inaugurated the island’s outdoor volleyball court and the MDP’s "Noo Bahaaru" campaign hub, where he engaged with members of the general public.

A commemorative plaque has been presented to former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in recognition and appreciation of his contributions to the development of Sh. Foakaidhoo.
Ahmed Asif, President of the Foakaidhoo Island Council, presented a commemorative plaque to former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during the "Heyvalla Thayyaaru" rally held in Foakaidhoo. The plaque was presented on behalf of the Foakaidhoo MDP branch in recognition of the development projects brought to the island under former President Solih's administration.
During former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration, Foakaidhoo saw the development of a modern harbor and the establishment of a comprehensive water and sewerage system. Additionally, the old powerhouse located in the center of the island was relocated to a non-residential area, where a new Fenaka office and powerhouse were constructed to commence services. Furthermore, several key facilities were developed on the island under former President Solih's government, including a community center, school classrooms, a multipurpose hall, and an extension building for the health center.
The former President’s visit to Foakaidhoo was made at the invitation of the local council to officially inaugurate the newly developed outdoor volleyball court. During the visit, the President also inaugurated the MDP "Noo Bahaaru" campaign center and held a meeting with party members.
