No injuries were reported in the fire that broke out in the children’s shelter in Vilimalé.
Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) revealed that the fire caused damages to the furniture and goods inside the Vilimalé Kudakudhinge Hiyaa, despite no injuries being reported.
The fire was reported to authorities a little past 10am on Tuesday.
MNDF firefighters were able to quell the fire that broke out in the first floor of the shelter, at around 10:15am.
