Minor dies from injuries sustained in Kalaidhoo accident

Ahmed Vishal, a minor who was left brain-dead in an accident in Laamu Kalaidhoo last Saturday, passed away on Tuesday.
The 14-year-old passed away on Tuesday night, while receiving treatment at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
On Monday, IGMH had revealed that doctors had declared Vishal brain-dead, and that he had been breathing with the help of a ventilator.
The accident- involving three individuals- occurred on Saturday night. Vishal had crashed his motorcycle into another motorcycle, which was also being ridden by a 14-year-old.
Vishal was buried after dawn prayer, on Wednesday.
