This was announced during Saturday's press conference by the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC). The nationalities of the recovered patients have not been disclosed. A total of 11 individuals have recovered from Covid-19 infection in the Maldives, whereas three are currently undergoing treatment.
As of Friday, the Maldives recorded a total of 16 confirmed Covid-19 cases, including a 38-year-old Maldivian man who returned from the United Kingdom.
The newest three cases also include two Italian tourists, who were sent back after completing a 14-day quarantine period in the Maldives.
The results of the samples taken from the two Italians came back after they had left the country. As such, the flight - carrying 300 passengers - was quarantined in Russia.
