President Abdullah Yameen has announced job opportunities for 157 individuals with special needs.
First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim attended the event to for the announcement held in Dharubaaurge on Monday.
President’s Office says the Government targets for an all-inclusive workplace, in order to protect the rights of differently abled individuals and empower them in order to make them into productive members of the society.
Under this initiative, the Government had opened up job opportunities for individuals with special needs from 18 state owned corporations. Some of the individuals will be working in centers created in various parts of the country.
President’s Office also says the Government had expanded the education sector to cater to children with special needs as well.
