Covid-19: Nationalities of 5 recovered cases disclosed
5 out of 13 confirmed cases have recovered
They are three Italian patients and one each from Turkey and South Africa
A total of 702 samples have been collected, out of which 569 have tested negative

The nationalities of the five recovered Covid-19 cases in the Maldives has been disclosed.

While it has been revealed that five out of the total 13 confirmed cases in the country have since recovered, the government’s Covid-19 spokesperson, Mohamed Mabrook Aziz announced the nationalities of the recovered patients while speaking at a press briefing held on Monday.

They are three Italian patients and one each from Turkey and South Africa, said Mabrook, adding that the remaining eight patients are undergoing treatment and in stable condition.

Additionally, Mabrook revealed that a total of 702 samples have been collected, out of which 569 have tested negative while 20 are still pending results.

Further, he disclosed the statistics from the various flu clinics established in the Greater Male' region.

  • Hulhumale' Expat Flu Clinic: 05

Moreover, he stated that 91 Maldivians arrived in the country on Monday, alongside 213 tourists and 04 expatriates on work-visas.
