Covid-19: Two suspected cases from Four Seasons Resort at Landaa Giraavaru test negative
Monitoring status has since been lifted

All confirmed 13 cases in the Maldives are foreign nationals

Samples taken from two suspected cases from Four Seasons Resort at Landaa Giraavaru test have tested negative.

Spokesperson for the government's Covid-19 taskforce, Mohamed Mabrook Aziz made the announcement at the bi-daily press briefing held by the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) on Tuesday afternoon.

Monitoring status has been lifted from the resort following the completion of contact tracing, said Mabrook.

Further, he revealed that Mathiveri island of Alif Alif atoll is still under monitoring status as test results of the two foreign nationals visiting the island have yet to come back. He went onto add that arrangements are being made to transfer the two foreign nationals to the isolation facility at Farukolhufushi along with six of their family members.

Other locations placed under monitoring status until contact tracing is completed include Furaveri Island Resort & Spa and a safari named "My Sky Yacht".

Currently, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Maldives is at 13; they are all foreign nationals.

While five foreign nationals were discovered from Kuredu Island Resort, two each were uncovered from Kuramathi Island Resort, Sandies Bathala Resort, Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort and Island Safari 1.
