Four women awarded Rehendhi Awards

Four women have been awarded the Rehendhi Awards.

The awards are given to recognize the contribution of women to the society.

Nazeera Ibrahim Manik won the Award in the politics and social services category while Aminath Majeedha in economics category. Samiya Zakariyya won the award in the social services category. Ifham Hussain was awarded from the social services category as well.

Rehendhi awards are conferred to exceptional women to recognize their contribution to the society, encourage women, increase female participation in the society and their relevant fields and mark their successes.

This year’s Awards were conferred to the recipients by President Abdullah Yameen in a ceremony held Wednesday.

The Awards were first introduced in 2014 by Gender Ministry.
