Police arrested two men that were running away after a robbery, on Saturday night.
Officers patrolling the Maafannu ward had noticed and apprehended the men.
Police revealed that arrested were a 38-year-old and 42-year-old, and that they had recovered the items they had stolen.
Police continues to investigate the matter.
While number of people residing in capital Malé City have traveled abroad or to the outlying islands for Eid al-Adha holidays, police had cautioned all to ensure that the houses and apartments are locked before traveling.
