FM Shahid sends condolences following two separate mass shootings in the US
At least 30 people were killed with dozens more injured following the two separate mass shootings in the US, in less than 24 hours

Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has sent condolences to US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, following shootings in Texas and Ohio.
The minister said that he was “deeply shocked” to learn of the mass shooting in the two states, “causing the tragic loss of innocent lives and injuries to many.”
He further conveyed sympathies from the government and people of Maldives, to the families of those affected, and wished a speedy recovery to those wounded.

Out of the 30, 20 were killed in a shooting that took place at a shopping centre in the Texas border town of El Paso; The store was packed with as many as 3,000 people at the time of the attack. 10, including suspect, were killed in the attack at Ohio’s Oregon district.
