TC Sports Club has become the winners of the Charity Shield 2019, after beating Foakiadhoo FC on Tuesday.
While this was the first event of this year’s football season, it was carried out in a two-legged home-and-away.
TC Sports took second leg match, held on Tuesday, after beating Foakaidhoo FC 3 to 1.
TC took control of the match within the first half, with the team taking lead in the 26th minute with a goal from Ibrahim Aisham.
While the first half ended 1-1, Foakaidhoo FC equalized the game in the 56th minute with a goal from Ali Shamiu.
However, TC’s Bimal Gharti Magar retook the lead at the 69th minute. He scored the third goal in the 76th minute.
While the first leg match ended in a draw, TC became champions on a 4-2 aggregation.
