National airline Maldivian has denied reports that a number of pilots had resigned at once.
A list circulating on Twitter shows the information of pilots who had supposedly resigned.
The list shows that three pilots, who are close associates of former director of pilots operations Captain Ameen, had resigned on Sunday. Some pilots have claimed that Ameen holds considerable influence in Maldivian.
The list shows that four pilots joined Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA).
In a tweet on Sunday, Maldivian denied claims that many of its technical staff had resigned and stated that nothing has occurred that could hinder its operations.
Maldivian’s Public Relations and Communications Manager Moosa Waseem said the list includes information of pilots who resigned much earlier but that there has been no personal issue between them and the national airline.
Captain Ameen was suspended earlier this month by the board after numerous pilots had protested against him.
