Former MDP President Dr. Ibrahim Didi has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has become politically disillusioned and weakened.
Speaking on RaajjeTV’s "Fala Surukhee" program on Sunday night, Didi stated that President Muizzu’s remarks on July 26 revealed he is currently in a state of despair. Didi further asserted that the President appeared politically disillusioned, weakened, and at a complete standstill.
Furthermore, Didi stated that President Muizzu is currently acting out of political self-interest, with no regard for the nation's economy.
Expressing concern over the dismissal of experienced professionals from state-owned enterprises, Dr. Didi stated that employees are being terminated for welcoming political leaders, specifically targeting those affiliated with the MDP. He noted that, as part of this trend, 93 employees have already been dismissed from Fenaka Corporation in Addu City.
State-owned enterprises have begun dismissing employees, specifically targeting experienced, long-serving professionals. These layoffs are particularly focused on individuals known to support the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).Dr. Ibrahim Didi
Furthermore, Didi highlighted the progress of the Thilamale Bridge project during his remarks.
In this regard, Didi stated that prior to assuming office, President Muizzu had spread numerous falsehoods claiming the project would never become a reality. He noted that although the President is now attempting to take full credit for the project, the public remains well aware of the truth.
