MNDF extinguishes warehouse fire in Maafannu; Police launch investigation

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Service’s Male’ Fire Station has successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in a warehouse at M. Shafa.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Service’s Male’ Fire Station received a report of the incident today at approximately 09:26. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene and have since successfully carried out operations to extinguish the fire.
According to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze at approximately 09:46 on Thursday morning.
The building sustained varying degrees of damage following a fire that broke out in one of its godowns. However, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident.
The Maldives Police Service has confirmed that they are looking into the necessary details surrounding the incident and are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
