A delegation from the Maldives Police Service has met with the F. Feeali Island Council to provide updates on the ongoing investigation and the measures being taken following the recent fire incident on the island.
Chief Superintendent of Police Ahmed Azuhan led the police delegation at a meeting held at the Feeali Council Office on April 11, 2026. The meeting was attended by senior police officials and members of the Feeali Council.
During the meeting, the police shared the latest updates on the investigation and emphasized that the case is being treated as a high priority. They noted that, in addition to the local officers stationed on the island, a specialized investigative team from Male’ is currently working on the ground.
Furthermore, the police emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in responding to such incidents. They also highlighted the necessity of working closely with relevant authorities to strengthen security measures and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
