Cross-verification of housing applications begins
The Ministry of Housing has commenced the verification of records across various state agencies to ensure the authenticity of applications submitted for government housing projects. With over 100,000 applications received for flats and land plots, the verification process focuses on validating critical information, such as the duration of residency in Malé. The government aims to allocate 7,900 flats and 15,000 land plots under this scheme.

The Ministry of Housing has commenced the cross-verification process for applicants who submitted requests for housing under the government's "Housing for All" policy.
The Ministry of Housing has announced that it has commenced the cross-verification process to ensure the authenticity of housing applications. According to the Ministry, this process will involve reviewing records held across various government institutions.
Acknowledging that these processes will take time, the Ministry stated that they will verify all provided information, including claims regarding residency in Malé.
By the close of the application deadline, a total of 58,505 applications were submitted for flats and land plots under the "Housing for All" policy. This includes 35,930 applications for flats and 22,575 applications for land plots.
Under the "Housing for All" scheme, it has been decided to allocate 7,900 flats and 15,000 land plots, each measuring 1,250 square feet.
Furthermore, a total of 45,644 applications were submitted for flats and land plots under the Family Housing Program. This includes 35,818 applications for flats and 9,826 applications for land plots. Additionally, 12,861 applications were received under the Housing Program, consisting of 112 applications for flats and 12,749 applications for land plots.
