Mohamed Nizar reappointed as President of PCB
Nizar was appointed to this position following the resignation of his predecessor, Mohamed Anas. Nizar previously served a five-year term as the President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), the regulatory body responsible for monitoring and strengthening the governance of state-owned enterprises.

Mohamed Nizar has been reappointed as the President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), following the resignation of Mohamed Anas from the post on Thursday.
Nizar has previously served in this position.
According to the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), Anas has resigned from his post as President on Thursday. Anas was appointed to the position on March 13 of this year. Following his resignation, the board has officially confirmed the appointment of Mohamed Nizar to fill the vacancy.
Nizar possesses extensive experience in the management of state-owned enterprises. He previously served as the President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) from 2015 to 2019.
Nizar has served at the state-owned trading company, STO, for over 20 years. During his tenure, he held several senior leadership roles, including General Manager and Deputy Director across key departments of the company.
Nizar holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from the University of South Australia.
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) is a statutory body established under the Law on Privatization, Corporatization, Monitoring, and Evaluation of State-Owned Enterprises. The board is composed of seven members appointed by the President, including a President and a Vice President. Following their appointment, the names of the board members must be submitted to the People’s Majlis for parliamentary approval.
