Two days after the election, Mohamed Najah (Retired) was removed from his position as the Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation on April 6, 2026.
He was appointed to the position in December 2024. During his tenure as Managing Director, a significant number of jobs were created. Fenaka, in particular, issued numerous appointments coinciding with the recent elections. Najah has been officially notified of his dismissal, and the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has publicly announced the decision.
While no official reason was provided for Najah’s dismissal, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu recently stated that he had shared inaccurate information regarding Fenaka’s Feeali branch because the Managing Director had provided him with incorrect details. Furthermore, the government has faced significant criticism over its failure to resolve ongoing power outages. Fenaka has also been hit with numerous allegations of corruption.
