Lack of government policy is evident just by looking at the state of the streets: Reeko Moosa
Moosa stated that the public is suffering the consequences of the government’s failure to take proactive measures against global economic shifts, opting instead to distribute jobs and engage in wasteful spending ahead of the elections. He further highlighted the breakdown of public order and the lack of any robust government policy to manage the issue of undocumented immigrants, asserting that these failures collectively demonstrate the complete collapse of the state's administrative system.

Former MDP Chairperson Moosa Manik (Reeko Moosa) has stated that the current administration lacks a functional governance system and clear policies, noting that this absence is evident simply by observing the state of the streets.
Speaking on RaajjeTV’s "Fala Surukhee" program, Moosa stated that the world is currently facing a period of significant economic challenges. He noted that while other nations have already taken measures to address these difficulties, the Maldives has yet to implement any such actions.
Moosa stated that if the current administration's policies were sound, they would have ceased practices such as distributing jobs ahead of the election as soon as the war broke out.
Had the President adopted a policy to stabilize the economy from the outset—rather than handing out jobs, incurring wasteful expenditures, and deploying dredgers for land reclamation ahead of the elections—I believe we would not be facing this situation today. If he had prioritized maintaining the economy to a manageable level, ensuring food security, and preventing the rising costs of healthcare and electricity, this crisis could have been averted.Former Chairperson of the MDP, Moosa Manik (Reeko Moosa)
Moosa stated that motorcycles continue to be registered on the streets of Malé without any established regulations. He noted that the roads have become so congested that there is no space left for pedestrians, adding that a mere glance at the current state of the streets reveals the government's lack of clear policies.
Furthermore, the police are exhibiting the characteristics of an institution lacking any real substance or stability, appearing capable of little else in this country besides suppressing protests.
Moosa stated that while foreigners continue to enter the country at current rates, there is no mechanism in place to monitor any of these developments. He reiterated that these issues highlight a complete lack of administrative governance within the current administration.
