This newspaper has received information that a candidate contesting the Women's Development Committee (WDC) presidency on a PNC ticket engaged in campaigning and dispatched a message earlier this morning.
In a message sent to the public shortly after 7:00 a.m., the PNC candidate for the Women's Development Committee (WDC) presidency urged voters to support her in "tomorrow's" Kulhudhuffushi City local council by-election.
While the Elections Commission has yet to comment on the matter, members of the public are raising their voices, condemning the incident as unacceptable.
