The Elections Commission has announced that 888,845 ballot papers have been printed for the three elections scheduled to take place this Saturday.

Scheduled for Saturday are the local council elections, the Women's Development Committee elections, and a public referendum to determine whether presidential and parliamentary elections should be held concurrently on the same day.

Statistics released by the Elections Commission (EC) on Thursday night include details on the total number of ballot papers printed for individual elections, as well as the specific allocations for each constituency. The Commission confirmed that the printing of these ballot papers was handled by Novelty Printers and Publishers.

According to statistics released by the Elections Commission, a total of 297,959 ballot papers have been printed for the local council elections. Additionally, 292,706 ballot papers were printed for the Women's Development Committee elections, while 298,180 ballots were produced for the public referendum.

The Elections Commission (EC) has announced that a total of 588 polling stations will be established for the three upcoming elections. According to the commission, 347 of these polling stations will be set up across the atolls, excluding the Greater Male' region.

The Elections Commission (EC) has decided to issue three separate ballot papers to each voter for the three upcoming elections. The Commission stated that the back of each ballot will clearly indicate the specific election it pertains to. Furthermore, information regarding the respective constituency will also be displayed on the back of each ballot paper.

The Elections Commission (EC) has decided to use color-coded ballot boxes for the upcoming elections. According to the commission, ballots for the constitutional referendum must be cast into boxes marked with white labels. Ballot papers for the Local Council Elections are to be placed in boxes featuring blue labels. Meanwhile, the EC specified that boxes with green labels have been designated specifically for the Women's Development Committee elections.

The three elections scheduled for this Saturday will mark the first time in the Maldives' political history that three separate polls are held on a single day.
