Addu City has secured a spot in the quarterfinals in the ongoing Gold Cup football tournament after winning their match against Lh. Naifaru in the second round of the group stage.
Addu won the match played on Sunday night at the Galolhu National Stadium with a staggering score of 7–2.
At the end of the first half, both teams were tied with two goals each. However, Addu scored five goals in the second half to win the match.
Naifaru took the lead in the 20th minute with a goal from Mohamed Izan Ali. Ten minutes later, Hazim Fauzy equalized for Addu. After that, Ibrahim Waheed Hassan scored to give Addu the lead. Before the end of the first half, Hussein Faisam equalized for Naifaru.
In the second half, Ibrahim Waheed Hassan scored four goals for Addu. Ibrahim Waheed Hassan scored a total of five goals in the game. Ibrahim Waheed Hassan scored these goals in the 47th, 52nd, 68th, and 70th minutes of the match. Later, in the 80th minute, Ismail Easa scored the final goal for Addu.
