Eydhafushi keeper suspended for a year, Maafushi slapped with fine

Goalkeeper of B. Eydhafushi, Ajufaan Amjad has been suspended for a period of one year, and the K. Maafushi team has been fined in the ongoing 90 Plus Gold Cup football tournament.
In the match between Eydhafushi and Maafushi, Amjad committed a dangerous foul on a Maafushi player. In connection with that foul, the referee showed him a straight red card during the match. In a letter sent to the Eydhafushi team by the tournament organizers, it was stated that the foul committed by Amjad during extra time of the match constituted "violent conduct". Amjad has been advised not to repeat such an offense for a second time.
In addition to this, for the offense committed by Amjad, he has been suspended for a period of one year from participating in any football tournament organized and conducted by the 90 Plus Gold Cup football tournament. He has also been fined MVR 5,000.
Further, Maafushi team was slapped with a fine for the incident where some of their supporters climbed onto the field after breaking down the security fence when Amjad fouled their player.
As a punishment for this, it has been decided to fine the Maafushi team MVR 3,000 and they have been instructed to pay this amount before their next match. The letter also stated that if such an offense is repeated, the fine amount will be increased.
