Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a manhunt for two individuals wanted for police interrogation in connection with ongoing investigations.
One of the suspects has been summoned for questioning in connection with a case of gang violence. As such, the man has been identified as Ahmed Nizam, 50.
Nizam is required to present himself to the Hulhumalé Phase I Police Station at 10am on February 15.
Further, Abdul Rasheed Mohamed, 36 and native to Kulhudhuffushi City in Haa Dhaal atoll, has been summoned for questioning regarding a case of theft.
The summons for Abdul Rasheed Mohamed was issued by the police station on Hoarafushi island of Haa Alif atoll.
He is to present himself to the Hoarafushi Police Station or the police station closest to him, at 1pm on February 6.
