Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a manhunt for two individuals wanted for police interrogation in connection with an ongoing probe.
The police institution revealed that the case is being investigated by the Hulhumalé Phase II Police Station.
In a publication made on Monday, MPS noted that the two are being sought for police interrogation regarding a case being investigated by the police institution presently.
The manhunt was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate them and handover their summons notice has been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track them down.
The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.
Being sought is 31-year-old Mariyam Saeeda, native to Naifaru island of Lhaviyani atoll and Ismail Hameed, 37 and native to Muli island of Meemu atoll.
They are both summoned for questioning regarding the ongoing probe.
They are to present themselves to the Hulhumalé Phase II Police Station at 10am on January 27.
