Two bodies were found in separate locations of capital Male’ City on Tuesday.

The first body was found in the city’s lagoon.

Noting that the case was reported at around 9:43am, police revealed that the body has been identified but only disclosed the deceased's nationality and age; a 58-year-old man from the United Kingdom.

While he was transferred to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), police said that he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The discovery of a second body was reported to police at around 11:57am.

The body was found inside a house in the Galolhu ward of the city, and was taken to IGMH as well.

While RaajjeMV understands that the deceased is an 18-year-old, police did not disclose any details.

Police continue to investigate both cases.
